In transition, though I'm sure I've said that far too often without the action to prove it. I'm a coffee slinger by day. College graduate, class 2011. Far too often exhausted by the end of the work-day but please, if you're of the butt-kicking variety, please kick my butt to get moving onto the important things in life. Lover of music, writing, tea and numerous bands. Music enthusiast. If I had known how enthused I'd be I would've worked towards a career in that field.
I try to post often to my journal but sometimes life delays the writing process. I do read posts on my friends lists at least once a week so I'm normally around to comment. This isn't an elitist journal but still, for the safety of everyone on the outside, this is friends' only. If we have common interests I will very likely friend you, but first you must request, be it in my friends' only post or elsewhere on the beautiful interwebs. Beware: much posting involves looking for motivation and/or inspiration for writing and gushing over concerts and bands.
When life is in upheaval it always helps to have one constant or another. For the past sixteen years that has been music (yep, I was a bit of a late starter). Whether I'm listening to music from the '60s, '70s, 80s and beyond it's helped me emotionally, mentally and even physically. Be it rock of nearly any genre or pop-dance-electronic or a handful of country acts it has reached out and touched me.
Because the above "Interests" can not possibly describe all my musical loves, this will give you a better idea of what fills my ears. Jefferson Airplane, the Who, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Aerosmith, Beasto Blanco, Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Alice Cooper, Rush, Janis Joplin, Neil Young, Buffalo Springfield, Skid Row, Supertramp, Van Halen, The Yardbirds, The Doors, Edguy, Alice in Chains, Sonata Arctica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Deathstars, Phoenix, The Trews, Sam Roberts, The Tragically Hip, Blue Oyster Cult, Depeche Mode, Flogging Molly, Dream Theater, Jet, T Rex, AC/DC, Alestorm, Miike Snow, Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson, Apocalyptica, Hozier, Extreme, The Cat Empire, The Clash, Crimson Glory, CCR, Empires, Europe, Art of Sleeping, INXS, David Bowie, Duran Duran, and many more. Plus there's a pretty good chance that I'm musically enamoured with the bassists in the above mentioned bands, if not outright adore them.
